Fun to ride, easy and affordable to run, the CB300R is motorcycling at its essence. Delivering engaging response from engine and chassis, it displays Honda’s engineering prowess, design philosophy, premium equipment and high build quality in a light, practical and compact package.
The 286cc DOHC engine is a free-revving compact unit that delivers strong torque to punch out of corners and real power for speed. The 6-speed gearbox offers an even spread of gears for strong acceleration, with an assist/slipper clutch that allows super-smooth shifts.
Front suspension is made of 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) inverted fork. A pressure separation damper in one fork tube and a spring mechanism in the other deliver high damper performance and lighter weight.
Both the tubular pressed steel constructed diamond-style frame and steel plate swingarm are designed to achieve high longitudinal rigidity and torsional control, allowing the CB300R to deliver agile handling with stability and feedback
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) works through an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to give precise front and rear operation distribution depending on the bike’s behaviour.
The digital display shows all the necessary information, including a tachometer, speedometer, odometer, trip meter A and B, instant and average fuel consumption and gear position indicator.
Full LED lighting – including headlight, tail light and indicators – gives a premium feel and contributes to mass centralisation. The headlight uses a dual-bar light signature, upper for low beam and lower for high beam, while the taillight is compact and thin, adding to the unique Neo Sports Café styling.
