The engine of the Ninja ZX-10R combines power and control. Placing peak torque high in the rpm range helps riders accelerate out of corners easily. Features like finger-follower valve actuation enhance peak power, enhanced by a full race exhaust.
The air-cooled oil cooler design on Kawasaki's WSBK race machine features an independent circuit for cooling oil. Oil is routed from the left lower crankcase to the cooler, cooled, and returned to the engine on the right side, improving overall engine performance.
In addition to the highly acclaimed stability of the 2019 model, updates to the chassis geometry contribute to improved cornering performance and light handling.
More circuit-specific settings for the WSBK-developed BFF (Balance Free Front Fork) and BFRC lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion) shocks improve front-to-back weight transfer and contribute to lightweight handling.
Dual high-spec Brembo M50 monobloc callipers gripping large 330 mm discs, a specially prepared radial-pump master cylinder, and race-quality steel-braided lines provide next-level braking power.
The aerodynamic racer-inspired front cowl, accented by compact LED headlights, a new Ram Air intake, and a taller windscreen, serves as the "face" of the Ninja ZX-10R's next-generation styling.
The upper cowl's winglets generate downforce, which helps keep the front wheel on the ground during strong acceleration.
Updated handlebar and footpeg positions contribute to a more aggressive, circuit-focused riding position, while the seat design reduces drag when tucked behind the windscreen on the straight.
Special permission to use the River Mark on the Ninja ZX-10R was granted in recognition of its Superbike World Championship victory. This is its debut on a non-supercharged mass-production model.
KCMF uses advanced modelling software and data from IMU to monitor and adjust engine and chassis parameters during cornering, optimizing brake force and engine power for smooth acceleration and braking transitions.
S-KTRC, Kawasaki's hybrid predictive/feedback traction control, allows riders to push harder on the track by maximising acceleration.
KLCM is designed to help racers accelerate from a stop by electronically managing engine output to reduce wheelspin and wheel lift when launching.
KIBS, Kawasaki's supersport-grade brake management system, regulates brake pressure with high precision during sport riding.
The Kawasaki Engine Brake Control system allows riders to choose how much engine braking they want.
The dual-direction KQS system allows for clutchless up and downshifts, making circuit riding easier.
All-inclusive modes that link S-KTRC (available in five modes) and Power Modes (in addition to Full Power, the Ninja ZX-10R offers Middle and Low modes) enable riders to efficiently adjust traction control and power delivery to suit a given riding situation.
Kawasaki's cruise control system maintains speed with a button press, reducing stress on the right hand during long rides for increased comfort and relaxed cruising.
The compact 4.3" all-digital TFT colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance. In addition to scrollable multi-function windows and two display modes, riders can choose how their information is presented.
A Bluetooth chip built into the instrument panel allows riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly. Using the smartphone application “RIDEOLOGY THE APP*,” a number of instrument functions can be accessed.
Unlike a mechanical steering damper, where the settings must be fixed and cover all riding conditions and speeds, the damping characteristics are electronically changed based on vehicle speed and acceleration or deceleration.
