SHARPER, STRONGER, SMARTER

Born of race-winning, track-proven DNA and raised on the street, the honed physique of the new GSX-S1000 morphs it into an even tighter and more striking package that is ready to turn heads and own the streets.

It’s all about commanding performance, confidence-inspiring controllability, rider friendliness, and looks that just can’t be beaten.

Absolute Performance

This street-tuned engine is based on core architecture that benefits from know-how acquired over decades of developing the GSX-R1000 to win countless production race victories, while also incorporating advanced technologies developed for MotoGP racing.

A chassis engineered for real-world enjoyment

The chassis features a compact, lightweight package that makes the GSX-S1000 surprisingly agile, predictable and well behaved for a high-performance, large-displacement sports bike.

High-performance braking technologies

The GSX-S1000 is equipped with top-of-the-line radial-mount Brembo monobloc callipers. The callipers each have four opposed ø32mm pistons acting on a ø310mm floating-mount disc for strong stopping power.

Greater Comfort and Control

New tapered handlebars are   23mm wider than those on the previous model, the bars have also been rotated upward slightly to raise the grip position.  Additionally, the slim bodywork and slim knee-grip area combined with the low 810mm seat height helps the rider put their feet down easily.

A comprehensive instrument cluster

The instrument cluster takes the form of a lightweight, brightness-adjustable LCD. Readouts include speedometer, tachometer, odometer, dual tripmeters, gear position, coolant temperature, driving range, average fuel consumption.

Performance-tuned Suspension

The ø43mm KYB inverted front forks feature 120mm of travel with fully adjustable damping, rebound, compression and spring pre-load settings.

LED Lighting

It’s a light, nimble look that emphasises the new GSX-S1000’s aggressive stance and eagerness to perform.  New front LED indicators in thin bar-shaped housings extend outward from the steering mount and create a look of advanced styling.
