The WR450F is an enduro weapon that’s easy to ride fast, extremely capable in technical situations and more versatile than ever. Truly the master of all trades.

Note that Australian WRF models are all supplied in full ADR spec to allow full road registration including indicators, mirrors and horns. A free Off-Road Kit designed for closed-course competition use is supplied with each bike. The kit includes brush guards, a front fender and a lightweight rear light and tail section.

Powerful 450cc Engine

The WR450F's advanced compact four-stroke engine is higher revving and produces broad power across the entire rev range. Additionally, ECU settings are tailored to suit the specific needs of trail riding and enduro competition.

Toolless Fork Adjustment

WR450F's front fork has a new hand-operated compression clicker for easy adjustments without tools. The bike's settings are optimized for enduro competition and its lower seat height than the YZ450F helps improve low-speed maneuverability.

Bilateral Beam Frame

The aluminium bilateral beam frame has WR450F-specific engine mounts to produce the right combination of strength and flex for the perfect balance of straight-line stability and cornering performance. The result is a better handling machine with a lighter feel, more agility and increased traction, allowing the rider to tackle tight, technical trails with greater confidence.

Smartphone Tuning

The free Yamaha Power Tuner App allows you to adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing, log race set-up information, and monitor maintenance data on your iOS or Android device. The latest version includes a Simple Tuning slide bar for engine mapping, Traction Control tuning, lap timer, and tuning guides.

On-The-Fly Engine Mapping Selection

The new handlebar switchgear allows riders to switch between preloaded engine maps to adjust for changing riding conditions. Map 1 offers a more responsive engine while Map 2 provides a smoother response with slower revving for limited traction.

Electric Starter System

WR450F has a compact electric starter system powered by a lightweight lithium-ion battery that adds consistent performance and minimal weight.

Wide Ratio 5-speed Transmission

A tri-shaft transmission layout vertically stacks the transmission shafts, raising the centre shaft and forming a triangle between the crank, drive shaft and main shaft for a lighter, more compact transmission. Gear ratios are optimised for enduro conditions.

Optimised Ergos

A slim, flat and compact body eases rider movement for improved control, including seamless, rounded seat edges, side covers and narrow front shrouds. The optimised rider triangle allows for enhanced rider comfort between the seat and footpegs.

Industry-leading Suspension

The KYB® coil spring fork and rear suspension with KYB® shock are specially tuned for the WR450F chassis. They provide excellent handling, bump absorption, and improved cornering performance with a 10mm lower seat height than the YZ450F.

A large 270mm front brake disc and 240mm rear are coupled with a high-performance Nissin calliper and aggressive pad material to provide exceptional stopping power and control.
