The YZ450FX, which is based on the industry-standard YZ450F motocrosser, is built to rule cross-country competition.
Its powerful four-stroke engine, lightweight, small chassis, outstanding rider ergonomics, and Yamaha's groundbreaking next-generation Power Tuner app are all direct transfers from the industry-leading YZ450F.
A wide-ratio transmission, increased fuel capacity, an 18-inch rear wheel, a side stand, a skid plate, updated ECU and suspension settings, and a 10mm lower seat height for better maneuverability in difficult off-road situations are some more changes aimed at improving XC performance.
The YZ450FX's cutting-edge, compact four-stroke engine has a higher rev range and generates a wide range of power. ECU settings are also customised to meet the unique requirements of enduro competition and trail riding.
The rider can switch between preloaded engine maps using handlebar controls. Map 2 provides smoother response for limited traction, while Map 1 offers faster, more responsive revving.
The aluminium frame, with XC-tuned engine mounts, enhances cornering performance and stability, allowing riders to corner confidently with improved handling and traction.
The bike has world-class suspension with a fully adjustable KYB® fork for better bump absorption. It also includes a KYB® shock designed for cross-country riding.
The Yamaha Power Tuner App is free and works on iOS and Android devices. It allows users to adjust engine settings, log race information, and monitor various data. The latest version has a user-friendly design with new features for tuning and guides.
