6 SpeedHonda’s CMX 1100 will change how you think about cruisers. Sure, the low seat height, twin-cylinder engine and relaxed riding position make cruiser-class machines so timelessly popular. But it also has something most cruisers lack: genuine arm-straightening performance, and a chassis & suspension package that lets you dial up the pace when the road gets twisty.
The CMX1100 is now available in a new “bagger” style variant - CMX1100 Tour.
The CMX 1100 sports an engine that redefines what a modern cruiser should be. The parallel-twin design delivers torque everywhere from idle to redline. It has plenty of power & grunts down low, but the CMX 1100 cruises easily and revs like nothing else in the class, with optional DCT.
With a bike like the new CMX 1100, you’re going to want to hit the highway and ride. That’s why we’ve equipped it with cruise control as standard.
Our throttle-by-wire system greatly expands the CMX 1100’s versatility. First, you get four levels of Honda Selectable Torque Control. Second, you can choose from four power delivery modes: Standard, Rain, Sport, and a fourth that’s user-programmable.
The CMX 1100 features a radially mounted front-brake caliper for powerful stopping performance. The radial-mount design also helps make it stiffer, increasing brake feel and control, and grips a single, massive 330mm disc. And at the rear, there’s a 256mm disc as well for excellent stopping power.
A bike that gives you all the best Rebel 1100 features, with the added benefits of hard, locking, weather-resistant saddlebags and a windscreen/fairing combination that is just right for longer rides.
The CMX’s instruments combine traditional and modern elements, with a classic shape filled with up-to-date reverse-image digital LCD information. They include a speedometer, tachometer, gear-position indicator, fuel indicator, engine output mode, torque control level, engine braking mode, and more.
Weighing just 220Kg wet, the CMX1100 manual is close to 36Kg lighter than the competition. That makes it easier to handle and friendlier to ride than some heavier machines. The low seating height and centre of gravity help performance, too.
