The updated 233cc fuel-injected air-cooled single offers strong low- to mid-range torque and precise response for rider-friendly control and linear acceleration, ideal for trail riding.
Large-diameter aluminium wheels, measuring 21” at the front and 18” at the rear, efficiently navigate trails, greatly contributing to trail riding performance.
The KLX230 S features long-travel suspension front and rear, allowing it to absorb bumps on the trail. Thanks to the revised rear subframe, the increased wheel travel enhances its off-road performance on bumpy terrain.
Kawasaki’s ABS for the KLX230 S model is designed for both on-road and off-road use. Riders can disable the ABS function for both brakes according to their preference when riding off-road.
The high-tensile steel perimeter frame of the KLX230 S is designed for dirt-riding use, offering the handling stability needed for confident trail riding, with extensive feedback from Kawasaki test riders helping achieve a highly accommodating balance between engine and frame.
Benefitting from its revised suspension and weight reduction efforts, the KLX230 S is 3kg lighter than its predecessor.
The smooth bodywork was designed to have as few protruding parts as possible, making it easier to move around and contributing to excellent ergonomics for both on and off-road riding. Thanks to the lower rear subframe, the KLX230 S offers significantly increased wheel travel while maintaining a similar seat height.
Black alumite rims in keeping with the KX-inspired looks contribute to the machine’s sporty character.
An all-digital instrument panel offers at-a-glance information on a large, easy-to-read LCD screen. Features include a speedometer, odometer, dual-trip meters, fuel gauge, clock, smartphone call and mail notices, Bluetooth indicator, and a range of indicator lamps.
Smartphone connectivity enables riders to access instrument functions for an enhanced motorcycling experience.
