6 SpeedStriking Sugomi styling, easy control, and accessible power invoke the Kawasaki Z spirit. LED lights and a TFT display deliver the newest tech. The Z650 will energise your senses and inspire your every ride.
Tuning of the 649cc parallel-twin engine focused on achieving a throttle response that balanced a powerful feeling with a quick-revving character. To optimise performance for everyday riding, care was taken to maximise low-midrange torque.
An Assist & Slipper Clutch helps to put the power to the ground while providing an extremely light pull at the lever and reducing rear-wheel chatter during downshifts.
One of the key components to achieving the Z650’s light weight (noticeable as soon as the bike is lifted off its sidestand), the trellis frame weighs only 15 kg and contributes significantly to the bike’s light, nimble handling.
Horizontal back-link rear suspension offers a progressive character and delivers a balance of sporty performance and ride comfort. The telescopic front fork is a part of a balanced suspension package, tuned to provide progressive damping with a high level of feedback to the rider.
The combination of a low 790 mm seat height and a slim chassis that makes it easy to reach the ground enables a wide range of riders to enjoy the Z650 with confidence. The Z650’s low weight and low seat height both contribute to manoeuvrability, whether walking beside the bike, or foot peddling in a parking lot.
Wide, flat handlebar and a relaxed, sporty riding position allow riders to fully capitalise on the Z650’s sporty street riding potential. Designed to both inspire rider confidence as well as put the rider in the ideal position for control, the comfortable and natural position is suitable for a wide range of riders.
With a sharp, compact cowl and muscular radiator shrouds, the Z650 boasts a strong Sugomi presence. The sharp chin spoiler, metre cover, and forward-slanting lines contribute to the aggressive posture. An LED headlight adds a distinct high-tech touch.
The compact, upswept tail cowl contributes to the Z650’s dynamic, sporty image. The strong Supernaked design can be further emphasised with an accessory pillion-seat cover.
The LED taillight lights up in a “Z” pattern, contributing to the sporty image and the strong Z identity.
4.3” all-digital TFT (thin-film transistor) colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance and excellent visibility. The screen’s background colour is selectable (black or white), and screen brightness adjusts automatically to suit available light.
Bluetooth Smartphone Connectivity (using RIDEOLOGY THE APP*) connects you with your bike like never before, allowing you to view vehicle info, riding log, phone notifications, and general settings.
Kawasaki's advanced traction control system provides both enhanced sport riding performance and peace of mind under certain conditions to negotiate low-traction surfaces with confidence. Two modes allow riders to adjust settings to suit the riding situation and rider preference.
