The MT-09 is infused with the Dark Side of Japan DNA, which gives it an aggressive new look that is designed to amplify the feeling of the CP3's iconic torque-rich acceleration.
The bike's aggressive style is reinforced by every detail, which follows a 'less is more' approach. The MT-09's compact and agile chassis results in razor-sharp handling, while the redefined riding position delivers the most heightened and engaged riding experience in the Hyper Naked range.
The riding experience is further enhanced by next-level technology, including lean-sensitive rider aids, customizable riding modes, and an all-new full-colour TFT dashboard featuring smartphone connectivity and navigation.
The CP3 engine is a powerful and lightweight liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine that offers high torque at low rpm. Its unique acoustic harmony gives it a recognizable roar that enhances the feeling of acceleration.
The MT-09 features a compact CF die-cast aluminium frame design with an optimized swingarm pivot structure, providing excellent rider feedback and stability. Its light and slim chassis make it a perfect partner for both short and long rides.
The compact six-axis IMU controls the MT-09's rider aids, including Traction Control System, Slide Control System, Lift Control System, and Brake Control System. It now features a Back Slip Regulator for stabilisation during excessive braking.
The 5-inch TFT instruments have four themes and can be controlled with new handlebar switches. Connect your smartphone to the TFT screen via the Y-Connect app for notifications, calls, and music*. The Garmin StreetCross app offers full map navigation for easier journeys.
The MT-09's roar is one of its defining features, evoking pure adrenaline with every twist of the throttle. Its air-intake ducts and acoustic amplifier grille accentuate high-frequency sounds, delivering the CP3's vibrant note directly to you.
The new MT-09 features a minimalist design with aggressive bodywork. It has a bi-functional LED headlamp enclosed in a cover, a newly designed fuel tank, and a slightly forward-leaning riding position. The sharp and edgy aesthetic of the MT name is still maintained.
The MT-09's new handlebar switch assemblies offer a wider range of functions, including smartphone connectivity, navigation, and riding modes. Intuitive turn signal functions enhance the riding experience.
The MT-09 is agile and stable, with customizable handlebar and adjustable footrests for different riding styles. The two-part seat enhances the feeling of freedom while riding.
The bike features adjustable front forks and rear suspension with multiple settings for a smoother and more controlled ride. It also has Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S23 M tyres on SpinForged wheels for high grip and lighter handling.
The MT-09 has a Quick Shift System (QSS) for clutchless upshifts and smooth downshifts. This, combined with the A&S clutch, optimizes torque levels for better acceleration and improved chassis stability and control during downshifting.
