Fresh from scooping last year’s US GNCC title, the YZ250FX scores a revamped chassis, updated suspension tune, and reconsidered ergonomics, the new FX is lighter, sharper and more agile, with a better handling feel.

An advanced 250cc four-stroke engine features a high-spec piston, aggressive cam profiles, and a forward-positioned intake cylinder head layout that provides a broad, useable powerband. A more efficient down-draft intake path further boosts mid- to high-rpm engine performance.
The new frame is based on the competition-proven YZ250F, providing a balance of stability and cornering performance. It includes model-specific engine mounts and a lightweight subframe, resulting in a better handling machine with increased front wheel traction, allowing riders to enter corners with confidence and more line choices.
The updated design improves ergonomics by creating a slimmer, flatter, and more compact body that offers a razor-thin feel and allows for effortless body movement when shifting weight forward and back. Additionally, there is now more generous space between the seat and footpegs, creating a more comfortable rider triangle.
The updated Yamaha Power Tuner App is now more user-friendly. It features a new Simple Tuning slide bar for easier use, along with helpful engine and suspension tuning guides. Additionally, it includes a three-level selectable Traction Control System that can be managed through the Power Tuner App to ensure optimal rear wheel traction.
Yamaha’s top-notch KYB suspension ensures optimal control and grip. The updated, fully adjustable KYB coil spring-type fork with speed-sensitive damping now features a hand-adjustable knob for easy compression adjustment without needing tools.t needing tools.
With the electric starting system, a 7.95L fuel tank, a rugged plastic skid plate, an 18-inch rear wheel and XC racing tyres, the YZ250FX is ready to win right out of the box.
