The goal of the Alpinestars Supertech helmets was to create advanced, protective, and performance-enhancing helmets for riders worldwide. With the S-M10, Alpinestars engineered a helmet with excellent ventilation, unsurpassed comfort, and the lightest weight possible without compromising on any front.
The S-M10 helmet has a streamlined, aerodynamic design that promotes reduced friction on impact to protect the rider's head and spinal column efficiently.
Key Features
- The S-M10 shell sizing solution offers 4 different helmet shell sizes (S, M, L, and XL) and 6 consumer sizes (XS to XXL) to ensure riders have the correct fit, improving comfort and reducing overall weight, and most importantly, enhancing the helmet's effectiveness in an impact.
- The patented A-Head Fitment System allows easy adjustment of the angle and height that the helmet sits on the head.
- Ultra-ventilated helmet with 28 individual intake and exhaust ports, not including the eye port, with 18 intakes and 10 exhausts, for optimal ventilation.
Construction
- The helmet features a highly advanced shell construction with a combination of 3K Carbon, uni-directional carbon composite, and Aramid fibre layers for improved strength, impact energy dissipation, and penetration protection. The epoxy resin bonding offers exceptional strength and energy management.
- The redesigned chin bar includes a relief section to clear the collarbone and reduce the chance of injury.
- Lightweight ECE 1260g and DOT 1360g for a size medium, 1310g with side pads and 1370g with visor extension.
Protection
- The S-M10 helmet exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standard for 2024 by 46% for regular-speed impacts and surpasses Peak Linear Acceleration standards for low-speed and high-speed impacts by 23% and 28% respectively.
- For rotational acceleration and oblique impact performance, where impact energy comes from an angle other than a linear 90-degree, or right-angle straight impact, the S-M10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 76%.
- MIPS Multi-directional Impact Protection System.
- Removable side pads made from a semi-soft polymer for added protection provide a larger contact area to help spread impact energy.
- ERS Emergency Visor Release and a new Visor Extension to protect from roost and the sun.
- New eject technology includes the eject helmet removal system.
- The S-M10 is available in 2 versions ECE R 22.06 and ECE R 22.06/DOT.
